Tutor Program    

Among the actions for the improvement of the quality of the teaching and the academic performance of the studentsis noticeable the figure of the tutor professor.

The tutor program intends that the tutor function, that traditionally has been restricted to the resolution of the doubts of the subject of each professor, be expanded toward other relative aspects of the integral development of the student in the University.

  • will offer support and information to the students on different services of the CPS and the University.
  • will facilitate the development of abilities and strategies of learning.
  • will identify aspects that interfere in the academic performance of the student.
  • will orient on the study methods.
  • will promote the participation of the student in activities of improvement of his skills
The Welcome Day    
The CPS organizes every year “The Welcome Day” for the new students of engineering, in the previous days to the beginning of the academic course. It intends to facilitate the adaptation to the University and to the university studies to the new students of first course.
Study Techniques Course    

The CPS organizes a Study Techniques Course for the new students of engineering, in the first days of the academic course.

The course is voluntary for the students that want to reinforce their techniques of study and work.Limit of seats exists (3 groups of 40 students, 120 seats on the whole).The courses are carried out during five days, and have a compatible schedule with the regular classes.

The course will help the students to prepare for:

  • the class: characteristic and preparation.Knowing to listen actively, questions.Taking notes: codes, abbreviations and structure.
  • Analysis of notes: to revise, interpret and complete.
  • Active participation in class: Need of the interaction professor-student.Participatory attitude.Questions, comments, opinions, etc.
  • Organization and security in himself.Participation in tutor hours.Personal organization of the time: Relation and distribution of activities.Difficulty of learning of the matters.Planning of the sessions of work.Control of effort-performance.
  • Bibliography.
  • Preparation of exams: Types of exam.Prior information.review and memorizing.Control of the situation.Development of themes by writing academic works.
  • Common basic formation: Math and physics are matters that constitute the scientific base of the engineer formation.It will be shown to the student the role of each one of these matters in his formation, how is going to present his teaching and his learning, how the student should work them and how the student goes to to be evaluated.

 
Student Consultant's offices

 
There are four student consultant's offices, taking care of by professionals who listen to the students’ problems and help students to interpret and solve them. These services are free of charge and they respect your right to the anonymity.
 
  • Studies Consultant's office. It informs to the students on the curricula, the forms and the requirements of the inscriptions and matriculations, practices in companies, or doubts on your academic future.
  • Legal Consultant's office. It informs to the students on any aspect related to the use, constitution of associations, how to make claim.
  • Psychological Consultant's office. It orients the students above all what worries and makes feel insecurity or anxiety.
  • Sexual Consultant’s office. It informs to the studetns on how avoid embarrassments, unnecessary risks or how to focus your sexuality
Students Associations  
The CPS has a great associative life, with opportunities to participate and to organize cultural, playful, sport, professional activities, interchanges, and so on. The protagonists are always the students.

Internships    

The execution of technical training in companies is an academic activity solidly established since decades ago in the most prestigious Schools of European Engineers and also in the CPS.The curricula recognize up to 12 academic credits in the curriculum of the student by the execution of technical training in companies.

The technical training in companies constitute an excellent formative complement, since besides enabling the acquisition of new knowledge in the specific field in which the training is developed, the student acquires a valuable experience with respect to the structure, organization, operation and activity of the company and its environment.

The Office of Relations with the Companies of the CPS offers the following services for students and engineers:

 
  • List of openings jobs for engineers of the CPS, received in the Office (search of the first work or change of work)
  • List of offerings of technical training in companies for students of the CPS
  • Service of Employment Banc, database of easy utilization that is brought up to date weekly with all the opening jobs published in all the newspapers of Spain
  • Possibility to receive by e-mail opening jobs or trainings in business by means of a service of automatic e-mail lists: CPSempleo andCPSpracticas
  • Help to seek your technical training in companies in Aragon, Spain or other countries
  • Application and monitoring of your technical training in companies.
  • Help to seek your first work or a new work in Aragon, Spain or other countries
  • Help to prepare your curriculum vitae and to confront your first interviews of work selection
  • Processing of the validation of technical training in companies by credits of free election.
